The Chicago Fireworks Sail Experience is offered on Wednesday and Saturday evenings May thru August, subject to availability. The Wednesday evening sail typically departs at 7:30 PM and returns at 10:30 PM. The Saturday evening sail typically departs at 8:00 PM and returns at 11:00 PM. |

The Chicago Fireworks Sail Experience has a sail time of approximately 2 hours, a fireworks viewing time of 1 hour and a total duration of approximately 3½ hours. |

This experience is not suitable for non-paying guests. |

WEATHER
The Chicago Fireworks Sail Experience may be cancelled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. |

Dress comfortably, flat, non-marking rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this sailing adventure. |

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Soft drinks, water and a light snack are served on all sails. Your sail will take place on the Schooner Red Witch, a 77-foot Gaff rig topsail schooner. The ship was designed by John G. Alden, long considered one of the world’s greatest naval architects and classic yacht designers. She is fully inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard and licensed to carry up to 49 passengers, and was built in 1986 specifically for charter passenger travel. Her dramatic bright crimson hull is constructed from mahogany over cypress frames, with a Douglas Fir deck. Gratuity for the Captain and Crew are not included and may be extended at the end of your sail. |

All changes to reservations for the Chicago Firework Sail Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.
Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made. |

Just OK
"I suppose when we went in with higher expectations. We thought we would be able to help out the crew and when we read cruise, that we would be cruising the area. They selected 5 people to help and that was it. As far as the drinks and snacks served, we didn't see any of it. Nobody offered anything to us at all and it would have been accepted. Nobody told us in advance that we could bring our own stuff which for the money, we would have thought a simple soda would have been included since it was listed in the description. Finally, when the captain took it just out into Lake Michigan and shut the boat off to float for a couple of hours, we became very bored. If you aren't sitting on the right side of the boat, you are staring out at water and nobody really spoke the whole time so it was very boring. The fireworks display was absolutely excellent. I don't know if I would recommend this to friends/family. The sister company that runs out of Navy Pier is a much better cruise from what we could tell. We noticed that they actually sailed around the area, were a lively group and a much larger boat."

Nice Cruise, Great Crew
"We had a nice time and enjoyed great city views and a leisurely cruise past the city. We didn't realize you could bring food/beverages aboard in addition to the soda/water they provide, but still had a great time. Some of the other passengers were 'lively' and were continuing their celebration on the boat. If you're cold easily, bring a blanket/jeans, as even with 85 degree temps on land, it got chilly on the lake."

Red Witch
"We fun and the fireworks were really pretty. There was no wind, so we didn't actually get to sail at all which was disappointing. We drifted for awhile, talked to the crew, then turned on the motor to get to Navy Pier to see the firework and then to get back to the harbor. The crew was nice, I just wish there had been some wind!"

Fireworks Cruise
"We had a great time. It was a bit chilly as expected at night on a lake. I thought it would be a more hands on experience. I wish we had sailed longer along instead of sitting in one place for a while. But all in all the experience was interesting and we left smiling."
