The Colorado River Rafting is offered seven days a week May thru September, subject to availability. Trips depart at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The High Country Rafting on the Colorado River

The Colorado Whitewater Rafting Trips are approximately three hours in duration.

Does Weather Impact Whitewater Rafting Experiences

The Colorado River Rafting Trips may be rescheduled due to high winds, heavy rain, other inclement weather or low water levels. All decisions to cancel, move, or postpone scheduled trips will be made by the Guide on the day of the reservation.

What to Wear for Whitewater Rafting Experiences

Dress comfortably in light and quick drying clothes and bring a change of clothing for the car ride back. Recommended items include a water bottle, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen. Outdoor sandals or water shoes are ideal and splash jackets and rainwear will be provided.

What To Know Before You Go

Your rafting experience will take place with a Professional Guide from Colorado River Runs and includes all rafting gear, and life jackets.

Participants are advised to be well rested. Please avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the scheduled experience. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions such as heart or lung conditions, severe asthma, back problems, recent surgery, obesity or osteoporosis or any other condition which is considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

The recommended minimum age/size for participants is 8 years old and 50 pounds.

All Participants must check in 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Questions about Colorado River Rafting

Question: I saw in the description for the Colorado River Whitewater Trip that it said Class I and II rapids. What does that mean?

Answer: Class I rapids is basically flat water. It's a great chance to relax on the raft and take in the views and splash your neighbors. Class II rapids have about 1 foot waves and some rocks in the river but they are easily negotiable and are still considered beginner to beginner-intermediate level.
Question: I am thinking of purchasing this trip for my family. Is there parking near the boat launch and is it paid parking?

Answer: Yes, you must purchase a day pass for the parking area if you do not have a Colorado State Park Permit. Exact location and details are given when you receive your reservation confirmation.
Question: Are there restrooms at the put in on the Colorado River?

Answer: Yes, the put in is at a campground that is equipped with outhouses.
Question: I am thinking of purchasing this for my daughter and her boyfriend. How will they get back to their car at the end of the day? Do I need to arrange transportation as well?

Answer: The rafting company will shuttle all of the participants back to the parking lot. It is suggested to bring a dry bag with extra clothes for the trip back.
