Tuesday, August 12, 2008 VETERAN Hampshire skydiver Sid King is set to take to the sky again. The daredevil 82-year-old will be jumping high above Hinton Airfield, near Oxford, on Sunday, August 17, in a fundraiser for Age Concern Hampshire. It will be the fourth time that Sid, from Basingstoke, has raised money by Tandem Skydiving. He did tandem skyjumps in 1999, 2002 and 2006, and said: "The first time was an experience - but I enjoyed all the jumps. "Now that I have done it several times, I know what to expect. "I am doing it for older people - I don't think they get enough attention." Sid ran his first marathon when he was in his 50s, and has now taken part in five London Marathons and five in Basingstoke, plus several bike races. News Articles
