All necessary materials for the class are provided and no experience is necessary.

Questions about Seattle Barista Class

Question: Are the classes taught on commercial equipment?

Answer: Yes, the class uses all of the latest commercial equipment. It is designed for the professional barista.
Question: I'm interested in opening my own coffee shop and thought this would be a good place to begin. In addition to the lessons do they offer any management or operational consulting?

Answer: The class will focus on the theme of the course, however this is a professional school and your instructors will offer occasional tips on running your own shop. The school that runs these programs also offer consulting to shop owners so be sure to inquire while you are there.
Question: I am looking for a gift for my sister who is really into coffee. Is this a hands on class or are these demonstration classes?

Answer: The classes are hands-on and each student will get their own station to practice.
Question: Will they provide all of the equipment I'll need?

Answer: Yes. Just dress comfortably and bring a notebook and pen with you to take notes.
