This thrilling Track Day provides racing fans and thrill seekers with the chance to sit behind the wheel and drive a real 500-plus horsepower Sprint Cup Style racecar around a Speedway Track! Tracks include Dover International Speedway, Iowa Speedway, New Hampshire Motor Speedway and Richmond International Raceway and are oval tracks that are one to two miles around.

Your Stockcar Driving Experience begins with a one-hour Drivers Meeting where you will be given instruction on driving techniques, safety procedures and everything you need to know to prepare you for this racing adventure. Before getting behind the wheel, you will take a narrated van ride around the track to learn the racing line. Once the Driver’s training session is complete, it’s time to suit up, strap in and put the pedal to the metal! Before you hit the track, a crewmember will buckle you in and check your radio. When the thumps up is given, it’s time start your engine, hear that V8 roar, and enter pit lane. Next, it's time to take the Checkered Flag!

The Stockcar Speedway Driving Experience is offered at specific locations and on specific dates throughout the year, subject to availability. The Experience is typically offered every hour between 8:00 AM and 5:00 PM.

How Long Is The Speedway Stockcar Driving

The Speedway Stockcar Driving Adventure includes 45 to 60 minute drivers meeting, 4 laps around the track (unless and upgrade option is selected), and has a total duration of approximately 2 to 3 hours. (For larger packages expect to be at the track for additional time.)

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The Stockcar Speedway Sprint Cup Style Driving Adventure may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to heavy rain or other inclement weather. If a reservation is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a rain-check valid for one year from that date which can be used towards another reservation. The rain-check is non-refundable, but may be used at any track nationwide.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, a driving suit, helmet and HANS device (head restraint) will be provided. Please wear a T-shirt that will fit under the driving suit and socks that cover your ankles. Boots and open toed shoes are not permitted. Please refrain from using any hair sprays or gels.

What To Know Before You Go

Participation is limited to individuals who are at least 5' tall, 100lbs, 18 years of age and have a valid drivers license. Participants must weigh less than 270lbs, be less than 6'4" tall and have a waist line less than 52". Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants must be able to climb through a 15” high by 28” wide window that sits 35” from the ground. All cars have standard transmissions.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Insurance is available for an additional $75.00 and may be purchased on the day of the event. The policy covers damage to the racecar resulting from driver error and is subject to a $1,000.00 deductible.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Speedway Stockcar Driving Experience require thirty-five (35) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee. No changes can be made to reservations within 35 days of the scheduled reservation.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

Awesome Ride

The overall experience was awesome I have a new respect for the drivers its cool to watch it on TV now knowing what the drivers are experiencing . The only dissapointing thing was the video wasnt taken I paid for it ahead of time like you are supposed to and when I got done asked for the SD card and was told they forgot to put the camera on the car .

Excitement galore!

My first experience on a NASCAR venue in any capacity came with a Christmas gift of the Stockcar Speedway experience. When I arrived, the sound of the cars first heightened my senses. First, there was an instructional 45 minute class which was extremely helpful in increasing the safety factor involved. Then I had the opportunity to drive a high powered race style car on the track. Just the idea of flooring the accelerator of a car and exceed more than twice the highway speed limit without fear of the law was great. They let me ride with a professional driver first (for additional $$) and got an excellent feel for what the capability was of the car. That portion showed me that the car is more capable than the maximum I would try. I am sure these cars are set up with amateur driver parameters so I believed I couldn't get into too much trouble using common sense. I also opted for the additional laps, a must if you go out there. The 4 laps on the standard package is only an appetizer. If you think about it, a one mile track will take you 30 seconds to circle averaging 120 mph, which you can achieve. 2 minutes is too short of a time to enjoy the adrenaline rush of 500 horsepower under your control on a race track. Since most people only did 4 laps, I was able to do an additional 8 laps without any other cars on the track. That alone was worth every penny I paid. I only wish they would have provided a print out of my driving information like each lap time, avg. MPH, & top speed, as an additional souvenir of my day. Nonetheless, this is an A++ activity all speed junkies restrained by legal limits and societal norms who have watched others drive fast on television, in movies, and as spectators at race tracks, should experience.

Questions about Speedway Driving

Question: My husband and I would like to buy this for our Son as a Congratulations gift. Can we add more laps?

Answer: The basic package is four laps around a Speedway Track. You may add additional laps when purchasing the certificate. The additional lap packages are as follows:

Qualifier Speedway Track 4 additional laps for a total of 8 laps
Shootout Speedway Track 8 additional laps for a total of 12 laps
Start Your Engines Speedway 12 additional laps for a total of 16 laps
Green Flag Speedway Track 20 additional laps for a total of 24 laps
Checkered Flag Super Speedway 32 additional laps for a total of 36 laps
Question: I'm giving the stockcar experience as a gift to my friend, but I'm not sure if he knows how to drive a stick shift. Do they have any automatic cars available?

Answer: All of the cars have manual transmissions. However if your friend does not know how to drive a manual transmission the pit crew will push him out of the pits and teach him how to get into high gear quickly.
Question: Great retirement gift. What happens if I hit the wall or get into an accident?

Answer: Safety is top priority, therefore incidences are EXTREMELY rare. Insurance is available for an additional $60.00 and may be purchased on the day of the event. The policy covers damage to the racecar resulting from driver error and is subject to a $1,000.00 deductible.
Question: I am thinking of giving this gift to my wife for a fun experience birthday gift, something she would never expect. Will she lose out if it rains the day of her reservation?

Answer: Safety is of utmost importance on the track. If a reservation must be rescheduled due to weather, she will receive a rain-check valid for one year from that date which can be used towards another reservation. The rain-check is non-refundable, but may be used at any track nationwide.
Question: We're giving the Driving Experience Days Certificate as a grab bag Xmas gift. Do I need to choose the track when I purchase the certificate?

Answer: No, the recipient may choose the track when he or she makes their reservation request.
Question: I purchased this gift for my husband, a longtime NASCAR fan. I would like to bring the whole family to watch him race. I have two young kids and would like to know if concessions will be available or if I need to bring snacks along for my children.

Answer: As this is a private event hosted by the driving school, normal concessions will not be open. You may bring outside food and beverages along with you.
