Get into the pilot seat, learn the basics of aviation and take the controls of a single engine light aircraft during this half hour Introductory Flying Lesson. The adventure begins when you meet your Certified Flight Instructor at the Cross Keys Airport in Williamstown, New Jersey.

Upon arrival, you’ll head out onto the tarmac where the Pilot will take you through the entire envelope of the aircraft during a fifteen minute ground briefing. Next, you will climb aboard the aircraft get strapped in and then sit back as the Pilot taxis the plane down the runway. The Williamstown Flight Lesson is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The Philadelphia Discovery Flight Lesson

The Flight Lessons include 15 minutes of ground instruction and have a flight time of 30 minutes with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact Flying Lessons

The South Jersey Flying Lessons may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds, fog or heavy rain.

What to Wear for Flying Lessons

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

All flight lessons take place in either a Cessna 172 or a Piper Archer PA-28-181. After the flight, the participant will receive a paperback logbook, which is a legal document certifying completion of the introductory flight lesson.

Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 300lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and may be extended following the flight.

All participants must be United States Citizens without exception.
