The Eagle River Rafting is offered seven days a week in Mid May thru Mid July, subject to availability. Half Day trips depart at 9:00 AM and 1:00 PM.

Does Weather Impact Whitewater Rafting Experiences

The Colorado River Rafting Trips may be rescheduled due to high winds, heavy rain, other inclement weather or low water levels. All decisions to cancel, move, or postpone scheduled trips will be made by the Guide on the day of the reservation.

What to Wear for Whitewater Rafting Experiences

Dress comfortably in light and quick drying clothes and bring a change of clothing for the car ride back. Recommended items include a water bottle, swimsuit, shorts, t-shirt, sunglasses or hat and sunscreen. Outdoor sandals or water shoes are ideal and splash jackets and rainwear will be provided.

What To Know Before You Go

Your rafting experience will take place with a Professional Guide from Colorado River Runs and includes all rafting gear, and life jackets.

Participants are advised to be well rested. Please avoid drinking alcohol 24 hours prior to the scheduled experience. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions such as heart or lung conditions, severe asthma, back problems, recent surgery, obesity or osteoporosis or any other condition which is considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

The recommended minimum age/size for participants is 8 years old and 50 pounds.

All Participants must check in 20 minutes prior to scheduled departure. Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Questions about Eagle River Rafting

Question: We're trying to choose between the Highcountry Raft trip on the Colorado and the Whitewater Rafting on the Eagle. Which trip is more family oriented?

Answer: The Colorado River trip is more family oriented if you have young children. It maxes out at Class II rapids. The Eagle trip can be rated up to advanced. Especially in the spring.
Question: I saw in the description that the Eagle River Trip is contains class III up to class IV rapids. What does that mean?

Answer: Class III rapids are for the intermediate+ whitewater enthusiast. It means that there are going to be boulders in the river that require some skill and coordination to maneuver around. Class IV is one step above and is considered advanced. Expect to get wet! Don't worry though, your guide is one step beyond even that...expert!
Question: We're coming up from Vail to raft the Eagle River this summer. It says this is for the more experienced whitewater enthusiast. Do we need to bring any gear or is it all provided by the rafting company?

Answer: The rafting company will provide you with a helmet and PFD (lifevest) and a wetsuit when needed. Of course your paddle and raft are also included!
