This full day Redwoods and Wine Country Day Tour begins as you head north across the Golden Gate Bridge, with its sweeping views of San Francisco Bay, Alcatraz Island, and the city skyline. Your driver will chauffeur you and the rest of the group through the coastal mountains of the Marin Headlands and along the base of Mt. Tamalpais until you reach Muir Woods National Monument and its renowned redwood trees.

Once you arrive at Muir Woods, you will have 1 to 1½ hours to wander amongst the magnificent towering Redwood giants and enjoy the sights, sounds, and smells of this living museum. Next, you will reunite with the rest of the group just before noon and travel to Sonoma Wine Country, where you will stop for lunch in the historic Sonoma town square. Spend some time to peruse the boutique shops and eateries of this quaint downtown. The rest of the afternoon will be spent sampling fine Sonoma County wines. You will taste a variety of white, red, and dessert wines at local Sonoma wineries such as Homewood, Cline Cellars, and Benziger Family. On the return journey to San Francisco, you will enjoy views of the beautiful valleys that have supplied the world with fantastic wines for over 60 years.

Price includes Transportation to and from the Redwoods and Wine Country in biofuel mini-coach, a professional Guide, two full flights of wine tastings and a narrated guided tour.

Participants must pay the $10 Muir Woods entry fee upon arrival. Extra wine tasting fees may apply depending on the wineries visited. Participants are urged to bring spending money as there will be several opportunities to purchase lunch, snacks, beverages and souvenirs.

Children must be accompanied by a person at least 18 years of age or older at all times.

Wine Tasting is limited to individuals who are at least 21 years of age. Participants must bring a valid form of Photo ID.

Trip was a full day. Guide was lots of fun and full of great info. Muir woods are a great place to see nature at its best. Downtown Sonoma was awesome. Wine tasting was also great and capped off with scenic views of San Francisco. Great day out.

We got this as a gift for my birthday and I like it a lot.
Our tour conductor was great, very sweet and knowledgeable.
The only complaint was that in the gift they sold to my sister said 3 to 4 wineries and we just went to 2.
We did complain with our tour guide, but nobody call us to apologize for it or gift us a reason why that happen.

The Muir Woods and Sonoma Winery tour was fantastic! Our driver, Mitch, was very entertaining and informative during our drive. He made sure everyone knew eachother and had a good time. The time spent at Muir Woods was perfect and we appreciated seeing some of the smaller wineries in Sonoma that didn't have tasting fees. It was a wonderful day. I would highly recommend this tour to visitors and locals!
