Taught by Industry Professionals from Dreadnought Wines in Pittsburgh, these classes are a great opportunity to learn about wines directly from one of the area’s best Importers!

Held on weekday evenings, these Wine Appreciation Classes are designed for all levels of wine knowledge. During the class you will learn how to taste wine, as well as how wine is produced and even touch on how to properly pair food and wine together. You will also sample and compare wines in order to demonstrate the lesson du jour. There's no wrong answer during these educational classes as you casually discuss what you see, smell and taste.

The Pittsburgh Wine Tasting Classes are typically offered once or twice a month on select weekday evenings, year-round, subject to availability. Classes begin at 6:00 PM and end at 8:00 PM.

Wine Tasting and Beyond

Our instructor was so informative on not only the wine we tasted, but also elaborated on the region where it was grown and what to pair it with. It was just fabulous! Deb from Dreadnought/Palate Partners was simply fantastic to work with. She was very enthusiastic and extremely personable and made the whole event from beginning to end one of the most enjoyable nights out for myself and all of my friends. The atmosphere was laid back, and of course the wine was tremendous. I highly recommend this experience and will probably be going back again for another class!

Question: I am interested in purchasing this as a gift for my husband. How unique are the wines and how are they chosen for wine tasting class in Pittsburgh?

Answer: The wines are carefully selected by Michael Gonze, the president of the company. Most of the wines are unique and you will not find them in most Pittsburgh liquor stores.
Question: I was thinking of purchasing this wine tasting class for my sister, who is a very "Experienced" wine taster. Is this a good class for her?
