The Flight Tour of New Orleans is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The Scenic Flight Tour Over New Orleans

The Scenic Flight Over New Orleans includes 30 minutes of flight time with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes, unless an Extended Flight Option is selected. Flight time is defined as the time from engine start to engine shutdown. This includes the time it takes to get from the ramp to the runway and back, before and after takeoff and landing.

Does Weather Impact Scenic Flight Experiences

The New Orleans Scenic Flight may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to severe weather such as high winds, fog or heavy rain.

What to Wear for Scenic Flight Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

Flights take place in a Cessna 172. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 250lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation.

Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and should be extended following the flight.

Question: I am interested in surprising my girlfriend with a flight tour on our vacation. What is included in the romantic flight that is different from the regular flight or the wine and cheese flight?

Answer: The Scenic Flight Tour Over New Orleans has a flight time of 30 minutes. Both the Romantic Flight and the Wine and Cheese Flight have extended fight times of 45 minutes. During the Romantic Flight you an your guest will enjoy a toast of champagne and chocolate treats. During the Wine and Cheese Flight you and your guest will enjoy a bottle of wine and basket of cheese while in the air.
Question: I just moved to New Orleans and my brother gave me a scenic flight tour as a gift. Is it a set tour or can I ask the pilot to fly over some specific locations?

Answer: You may customize your tour to an extent, as long as you stay within FAA guidelines.
Question: Do you offer this tour for only one person?

Answer: Unfortunately no. There is a 2 person minimum for the New Orleans Scenic flight tour.
