The Fells Point Food Tours are offered Friday thru Sunday, year round, subject to availability. Tours begin at 3:00 PM.

The Federal Hill Food Tours are offered Saturdays at 2:00 PM, March thru December, subject to availability.

The Little Italy Food Tours are offered Fridays and Saturdays at 1:30 PM, year round, subject to availability.

How Long Is The Baltimore Food Tour

The Baltimore Food Tour Experience has a tour length of approximately 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3½ hours.

Does Weather Impact Food Tour Experiences

The Baltimore Culinary Tours take place in all weather conditions, but may be rescheduled by the Guide due to sever weather conditions.

What to Wear for Food Tour Experiences

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this culinary adventure. Flip-flops, high heels and dress-shoes are not recommended.

What To Know Before You Go

Tours finish within three blocks of the starting point and include 1½ to 2 miles of walking. There are typically three to five stops along the tour, each stop will last between 20 and 25 minutes.

Enough food is served that the average stomach will leave full. All dishes are served sitting down, so you can enjoy the ambiance of each restaurant while trying their specialties, and hearing their stories. All dishes served are included in the tour.

Eating a light brunch before the tour rather than lunch is recommended. The dishes you will try resemble small meals rather than traditional tastings. During the Food Tour, each restaurant will serve water or other beverages. Alcoholic beverages can be purchased during the tour from the restaurant(s).

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made. With advanced notice vegetarian options maybe provided. Bathrooms are available at each location.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Baltimore Food Tour

My husband and I participated in the Baltimore Food Tour at Fells Point on September 22, 2013, my birthday. There were 3 other couples who were in our group. The tour was excellent. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and we went to 4 different restaurants to sample different cuisine. The people in our group were very nice and we had a good rapport. In fact, ironically one other person shared the same birthday with me. It was a nice tour and a unique way of celebrating my birthday. Great tour! Great tour guide! Great group! Would definitely recommend it.

Baltimore Food Tour Review

We enjoyed our tour and Mary was very pleasant and helpful. We thought the stops were all good, The Hill being our definite favorite. Adding another stop in would be nice, less time at the others. We lingered a bit too long. The trip up Federal Hill is also a plus. Mary, was informative, however, being native Baltimoreans, we learned little. She was happy to learn more.

Our guide was fantastic!!! Very informative! The food was delicious. Although for the price, not sure we got $50 worth of food. Plus we didn't care for the 'all veggie' place. And it would have been great if we had received more than 'just a taste' of dessert. But overall, it was terrific!!!

Answer: Water is served at each stop on the tour and some tours may serve other beverages such as coffee or tea. Alcohol may or may not be included on the tour. If you would like to sample any alcoholic beverages you must show a government issued Photo ID.
Question: I would like to gift a food tour to my brother, but he uses a wheelchair. Is the Fells Point Food Tour wheelchair accessible?

Answer: The Fells Point Food Tour is mostly wheelchair accessible. There is one part of the tour that does go down some stairs.
