San Diego Food Tasting Tour

Tour met on time and the proper location. Our guide was knowledgeable about the gaslight district and provided a unique and extremely amuzing history of the area. We made four food/drink stops at diverse and fun lacations. The group was small enough for everyone to get to know each other and I believe a good time was had by all. My only comment was the order of the stops. We stopped for cupcakes at the third stop and then went to have a Guiness and small samplle of shepherd's pie after that. The cupcake should have been at the end.

Food Tasting Tour of Old Town

We enjoyed this tour and our guide Rachelle was very informative and happy to answer all of our questions about the area. The food we tried was good, but we would have liked a little more variety...we had chips and salsa, margaritas, and tacos at a couple of the places we visited...it would have been nice to try maybe a local beer and some other Mexican food like churros or something. All in all we had a great time and would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the Old Town San Diego area.

Answer: The Gaslamp tour includes a wide variety of cuisines. You'll start at a pizzeria and then visit sample Irish, Mediterranean, and even fish tacos. You'll end the tour at a place that specializes in desserts.
Question: Do you need to be 21 to take the San Diego Food Tour?

Answer: No, but there are cocktails served at both locations and you need to be 21 to partake. Be sure to remember your ID.
Question: Do we just walk around and sample food at different restaurants?

Answer: Not at all. On the way your guide will tell stories about the history of San Diego. On the Old Town Tour you'll hear ghost stories and visit a haunted house and on the Gaslamp tour you'll hear the scandalous stories of the old Red Light District.
