Does Weather Impact City Tour Experiences

The Manhattan Murder and Ghost Tours take place in most weather conditions. Tours may be rescheduled due to severe weather such as heavy rain or snow.

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers are recommended for this adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

Tours include 1 to 2 miles of walking. Participants may bring a bottle of water or non-alcoholic beverage on the tour.

Greenwich Village Tours: Discover the most historic buildings and actual haunted houses in NY. Visit a celebrity death site, learn about the Real Boston Strangler, Ghosts of the Triangle Fire, Death and the Draft Riots and more!

Lower Manhattan Tours: Popular with history buffs, on this tour you will learn about colonial mayhem and torture! Listen to stories involving Jack the Ripper, grave robbing, burnings at the stake and more!

Hell’s Kitchen Tours: Visit the former killing grounds of the West Side on the bloodiest tour. Listen to the murder stories of the Torso Serial Killer, the Cannibalistic Killer, the Gangland Killings and more! This tour is not recommended for those under the at age of 13.

Unfortunately, due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made and locations visited on the tour are subject to change. Tours are not designed for children under the age of 10.

Gratuities for your tour guide are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

It was interesting to see the city from another view. I liked the enthousiasm of the guide! It was nice to listen to her stories. It was intersting to hear the stories about the murders en the ghosts, but I didn't get scared at all.

Questions about Manhattan Ghost Tour

Question: Which ghost tour location in New York is the scariest?

Answer: All of the tours are scary! The Hell's Kitchen tour has the bloodiest stories and featuring the most macabre murders and is not recommended for those under 13.
Question: Interested in this tour for my daughters birthday. She is very interested in ghosts. Do the tours actually enter the buildings?

Answer: No, this is a street tour. It is similar to sitting around a campfire telling ghost stories, only you are actually going to the sites of the stories!
Question: I would like to buy this gift for a friend. She likes to bring her dog everywhere she goes. Are well mannered dogs allowed on this tour?

Answer: Yes, as long and the dog won't interrupt the tour by barking, isn't a biter and you clean up after him.
Question: Does the tour offer food or drinks.

Answer: No. Sometimes during the winter, if the group elects to, you will stop at a coffee shop to warm up. However there are no stops during most of the tours. It is recommended you don't show up to the tour hungry and bring a bottle of water.
Question: I received this tour as a birthday gift recently. How many additional people will there be on the tour?

Answer: There may be up to 25 people depending on the location. Tours are rescheduled if there are less than 4 participants, but due to it's popularity that almost never happens.
