The New York Helicopter Tour and Dinner Cruise is offered on select dates year-round, subject to availability. Flights are typically scheduled for 2:00 PM and cruises typically depart at 7:00 PM.

How Long Is The New York Helicopter Tour and Dinner Cruise

The Helicopter Tours have a flight time of 11 to 15 minutes and a total duration of approximately 45 minutes. The Dinner Cruises have a sail time of 3 hours and a total duration of approximately 3½ hours.

Does Weather Impact Helicopter Flight Experiences

The Helicopter Tours may be rescheduled by the Pilot due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather. The New York Dinner Cruises may be held dockside if there are severe weather conditions.

Dinner Cruise Reservations must be attended even if the Helicopter Tour has to be rescheduled due to weather.

Business Casual attire is suggested. T-shirts, casual jeans, shorts, and sneakers are strongly discouraged.

What To Know Before You Go

All participants must observe the following security requirements:

Must have a valid Government Issued Photo ID (Passport or Driver's License). Participants must: 1) check in all bags with security - no carry-ons or handbags will be allowed on the flights; 2) walk through a metal detector; 3) pay a mandatory Heliport security fee of $2.50 PER PERSON and a $40 PER PERSON Heliport Fee. Personal cameras and video cameras are allowed onboard once they are cleared through security.

The Operator of this tour reserves the right to upgrade, alter or terminate any or all sightseeing tours due to security, weather or acts of God.

Excellent Birthday Surprise

I surprised my boyfriend with this certificate and it was EXCELLENT! The Helicopter ride was AMAZING and the people who worked there were equally awesome. The cruise was a nice way to end the evening. The food was 5 stars and the onboard entertainment was just that entertaining. Although, there was a time gap between each event it worked out because we end up walking the Highline and passed the time.

The dinner cruise was great and I would recommend it to any one visiting New York. The helicopter tour was ok. There were six of us packed into the tiny space and only three people had windows. I would say that if you have the time and extra money you should go one time, but I wouldn't waste my money on a second tour. I would do the boat cruise again though.

The helicopter ride was incredible, even as a local New Yorker! The views were breathtaking, and the staff was very friendly. The Dinner Cruise was so much fun and everyone was extremely kind. Worth every penny!! I loved it! This was the most romantic xperience ever! The helicopter ride was so smooth and the view was awesome. I loved every minute of it. While we were waitng to board the the cruise we went to a brewery on pier 59 (or 60) and it was the best. Then the cruise, it was amazing, the crew was so nice, the glass view beautiful, the food incredible, and the music and lighting set the mood just right. I can't wait to plan it again.

October 29, 2008 - My husband and I throughly enjoyed our day. The helicopter was our first time and enjoyed the flight, 15 mins. goes by very quickly. A longer flight next time, there is so much to see. The dinner on the Bateaux, was top of the line, food, service and the music, we could not have asked for anything more. It was like being on an island. When we cruised up to the Statue of Liberty and the band played 'God Bless America', it was so Patriotic, it was very moving. It was first class, from the being to end. PS. I hope the waitress reveiced her tip from your company. It was included in the gift package.

The helicopter ride was exciting, great quick way to see the city from above. The dinner cruise was ehhh... dance floor was too packed, food was okay. And, if your upstairs on the cruise, you can't see the entertainment. Overall, it was a nice night out.

The helicopter ride and cruise was wonderful. The views were stunning. I would highly recommend it. The only negative was the disorganized nature of the helicopter tour. It appeared completely unorganized when arriving at the heliport from initial greeting to getting into the helicopter. Once airborne, everything was great.

Questions about New York Fly and Dine

Question: I am interested in this experience. Is it a private experience or will we be accompanied by random people?

Answer: There may be up to 5 additional participants on the Helicopter Tour and 300 additional participants on the cruise.
Question: Is there an age limit? We will be visiting New York this summer and I thought this would be a great Xperience to surprise the family with. We have two children four and seven.

Answer: There is no age restriction on either the Helicopter Flight Tour or the Dinner Cruise. However, the Dinner Cruise is not recommended for small children. The Dinner Cruise has a buffet of gourmet menu selections and there is no children's menu.
Question: Hello I was just wondering, if the prices that I see for 2 people. I would like to send this as an engagement gift. My husband and I have been on a similar Heli tour before and there was a helicopter fee we had to pay. Is there one on this tour as well? Is it included in the price? I would like to send them with the appropriate amount of money.

Answer: The price is for two people for both the helicopter tour and the dinner cruise. Additional fees will be due upon arrival at the Heliport.
Question: We received this as an engagement gift and would like to know if there is transportation provided between the heliport and the docks for the dinner cruise.

Answer: The participants are responsible for the Transportation between the two events.
Question: Looking into this for a birthday present for my wife. The product description for the Helicopter Tour and Dinner Cruise that if the flight is cancelled for bad weather we must still attend the cruise that day. Why would they not cancel both? Will we still get to go on the helicopter tour if it is cancelled and the cruise is not?

Answer: The helicopter tour is more likely to be cancelled than the dinner cruise. The dinner can still be held dockside if necessary during rain and high winds. If the pilot determines that the helicopter tour must be cancelled due to weather he will reschedule with you directly.
Question: How should I dress for the cruise?

Answer: For men, appropriate attire includes slacks and a polo or button down shirt. For women, nice slacks, Capri pants or a sundress is recommended.
Question: I am interested in giving this to my Daughter and her Fiance as an engagement gift. Will there be entertainment on the cruise?

Answer: The Cruise features DJ entertainment and there is a large dance floor.
Question: I am interested in this as a surprise for my wife. If I don't choose the romance on the water package will we be seated with other people?

Answer: The cruise ship for this experience features cruise style seating. While they do offer tables for two, the majority of our tables accommodate four to eight people, and guests are sometimes seated with other parties in the tradition of ocean-going cruises
Question: I was messaging today to find out whether or not under 21’s can enjoy this experience. We are coming over from England and realize we wouldn’t be able to drink but is it still available?

Answer: Participants in the New York Helicopter Tour and Dinner Cruise must be 18 years of age or older if unaccompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
