A hidden gem located a pleasant country drive between Austin and College Station, this skydive adventure begins with a quick check-in and 15-20 minutes of training. Once you have completed the pre-jump instruction, your instructor will harness you up and accompany you onto the airplane. When the plane reaches an altitude of 10,000 feet above the drop zone, it is time to exit the aircraft and experience the exhilaration of an amazing 120 mph 30-40 second free-fall!

When you reach an altitude of 5,000 feet, your Instructor will deploy the parachute so that you can glide back to earth under a gliding canopy built for two. During your descent, you will be able to help guide the parachute and enjoy amazing views of the Texas landscape below. The Skydiving Austin is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Reservations can be scheduled between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The Skydiving Austin

The Austin Texas Skydiving experience includes a 15 to 20 minute briefing, a 30 to 40 second free-fall and a 5 to 7 minute parachute ride. The total duration of this experience is typically 1 to 3 hours depending on weather and scheduling.

Does Weather Impact Skydive Experience Gifts

The Austin Skydiving may be rescheduled by the instructor in the event of unsafe weather conditions.

What to Wear for Skydive Experience Gifts

Dress comfortably for the weather. Athletic-style shoes that lace, and layers (for colder weather) are recommended. Open-toed shoes, boots, Jewelry and anything with hooks are prohibited.

What To Know Before You Go

Participants must be 18 years of age or older and a valid Photo I.D. is required for participation. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 250lbs and should be height/weight proportionate. Individuals who are pregnant or have other physical conditions which might preclude a safe skydive should consult a physician first.

All instructors have current USPA certifications. All staff members are professionals, chosen for their commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

Participants are required to complete a Liability Release waiver prior to flight.

Skydiving Austin!

We had such a great trip out to Austin to enjoy skydiving! Our instructors were all very friendly and walked us through the entire experience! It was a little nerve wracking being up in the little plane and looking out over the clouds. It all began to set in for me as my instructor, Eduardo, started hooking himself to me! As soon as the door opened I was instructed to step out on a small platform and get ready to go! It was such an exhilarating and fun experience! Highly recommend!

Questions about Texas Skydiving

Question: I have a GoPro that straps to my chest and is almost impossible to come off. Would I be able to wear it on my Tandem Skydive?

Answer: No, the law requires a minimum of 200 solo jumps before you are allowed to wear a camera. If you'd like video of the jump you may add the DVD package to your certificate from the drop down list above the "Add to Cart" button.
Question: Was given a certificate for Skydiving Austin for my birthday. Will I get the rollercoaster feeling when I first exit the plane?

Answer: No. Rollercoasters are designed to give you that initial drop feeling by creating G forces. When you exit an airplane you are dropping at speed of your own mass and weight. Most people describe it as floating or flying.
Question: What is the minimum age to jump tandem?

Answer: All participants must be 18 years of age or older.
Question: If the ground school is 30 to 40 minutes, and the jump itself is only about 5 minutes, why is the total duration of the event as 1 to 5 hours.

Answer: Each flight will have a combination of tandem jumpers and seasoned solo jumpers so you may not be on the first flight out. Also, jumps are dependent on the weather. The school will try to wait out bad weather to allow as many jumpers to go on their scheduled date.
Question: I would like to buy this for my sister, who has always wanted to try. Is there a place were I could hang out and watch her jump?

Answer: There is a covered pavilion at the airport that has picnic tables and a grill. Friends and family are welcome to bring a cooler and make a day out of it!
Question: My jump is scheduled for this weekend, but there is a storm in the forecast. What happens if the jump is cancelled for bad weather?

Answer: Call the Skydiving School the night before or on the day of your jump. If the weather is poor you will be rescheduled directly by the School. In some cases, you will still need to attend the ground school even if the jump is cancelled. No shows will forfeit their jump, so make sure to contact the School.
