This exciting water sport uses wind power to pull a rider through the water on a small surfboard or a kiteboard. You and your instructor will begin your one hour private lesson off the shore of the beautiful Crandon Park on Key Biscayne, one of the best spots to learn Kiteboarding,. The shallow and flat water is perfect for a beginner to become autonomous and fully competent much easier and faster than anywhere else.

Following instruction on the basics and safety of kitesurfing, you will suit up and prepare to take flight on the water! You will learn how to safely control the kite as you ride across the water, at amazing speeds. Your Instructor will teach you how to turn, control your flying and your jumping; and, you may even learn how to board grab!

The Miami Kiteboarding Lesson is offered seven days a week, year-round, subject to availability. Lessons are typically scheduled to begin at 10:00 AM, 1:00 PM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The Miami Kiteboarding Lesson

The Miami Kiteboard Lesson includes a 2 hour lesson and is typically 2½ hours in total duration, unless the Extended Lesson is selected.

Does Weather Impact Outdoor Activity Gifts

The Introductory Kiteboarding Lesson in Miami may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for Outdoor Activity Gifts

Dress comfortably, swimwear, and layers are recommended. Beach towels, sunscreen and a change of clothes are also recommended. Participants will be provided with a Radio Helmet. Wetsuits an water shoes area available to rent.

Inluded in the Kiteboarding Lesson is 1-to-1 Instruction with IKO Coach for the most effective and fast learning curve and:

Participation in the Kiteboarding Lesson is limited to individuals weighing less than 225lbs and are at least 16 years of age. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

Wetsuits ($10) and water shoes ($5) are available to rent.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. Participants under the age of 18 require written consent by a parent or legal guardian on the day of the lesson.

All changes to reservations for the Miami Kiteboarding Lesson Experience require seven (7) days advance notice.

Best Experience Ever!

Very good kiteboarding experience with those guys from Miamikiteboarding cool people, beautiful tropical beach, and a perfect shallow water lagoon to learn so much easier. My instructor Dominic, was fantastic, beside speaking fluently 5 languages! He showed me all the ins' & out of the sport in only 1 Hour. Then I signed in for more hours . I was so hooked :) Defientely a A+ for this experience, real pro staff. Thanks

Answer: It requires some, however like most board sports most of it is technique.
Question: What if there is no wind on the day of my reservation? Will they reschedule?

Answer: If your class is cancelled for weather they will reschedule you directly. It's rare that it would be cancelled for a lack of wind. You can operate a kiteboard in as little as 5 knots and the beach provides a near constant breeze. The class is more likely to be cancelled for high winds or heavy rains.
