Before the tour starts, you and your guests will meet your guide who'll brief you on safety procedures, kayak paddling techniques, the tour itinerary, and provide you with a kayak, paddle, and a life jacket. As you paddle along the river, you'll be surrounded by breathtaking scenery, including salt marshes, mangroves and oyster bars. You'll also get to see a variety of wildlife, such as dolphins, manatees, ospreys, and herons. Throughout the eco tour, your guide will provide educational commentary about the unique ecology of the Matanzas River.

The Kayak Eco Tours are offered up to seven days a week throughout the year, subject to availability. Tours are typically offered at 8:00 AM, 11:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

The Matanzas Kayaking Experiences have a length of 2 hours and a total duration of approximately 2½ hours.

Does Weather Impact Kayaking Experiences

The Kayaking Trips may be rescheduled by the guide due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to Wear for Kayaking Experiences

Participants are advised to wear clothes and shoes you don’t mind getting wet, and sunglasses, a hat, and sunscreen.

What To Know Before You Go

Participant's may not exceed a weight of 280lbs. Lifejackets will be provided and must be worn at all times.

Gratuity for your guide is not included and can be extended at the end of the tour.
