How Long Is The Auto Club Speedway NASCAR Ride Along

The NASCAR Ride includes 3 Laps as a passenger with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The NASCAR: Ride Along may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this once in a lifetime racing adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

For safety reasons participants in the NASCAR Experience must be a minimum of 5'0" tall and no more than 6'8" tall. Participant must weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and no more than 280 lbs. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

The race cars are purpose-built, full-sized, Nextel Cup-style Stock Cars. As these are real NASCARs, you must be able to climb through the window to get into the car.

A track-side viewing area is available for friends and family members.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Auto Club Speedway NASCAR Ride Along Experience require forty-five (45) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

3 lap ride along at Fontana Racewar

It was very exciting; I purchased the 3-lap package. It was too short of a ride. I would recommend the 6-lap package. It takes about 1/2 lap to get up to speed and 1/2 lap to slow down for the finish. Everyone was professional and I have never gone that fast on the ground. I will do it again

I wasn't nervous until they started putting all the safety equipment on me and strapped me in to where I could barely breathe ...

They were running a little late and the 3 lap ride along was over a little too fast but DEFINATELY fun fun fun!

All in all, VERY fun, a great fathers day gift!

Question: I purchased this gift for my husband, a longtime NASCAR fan. I would like to bring the whole family to watch him race. I have two young kids and would like to know if concessions will be available or if I need to bring snacks along for my children.

Answer: As this is a private event hosted by the driving school, the concession stands will not be open. You may bring outside food and beverages along with you.
Question: My siblings and have been thinking about purchasing this experience gift for my father for Christmas. Are there height and weight requirements?

Answer: Participation in the NASCAR Ride Experience is limited to individuals that have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground, can wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X, and are at least 100 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.
Question: My Son’s birthday is coming up and I thought this would be an exciting sweet sixteen birthday present! Are there age limits for the ride along?
