How Long Is The Homestead Miami Speedway NASCAR Ride Along

The Homestead Miami NASCAR Ride includes 3 Laps as a passenger with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The NASCAR Ride Along may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this once in a lifetime racing adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

For safety reasons participants in the NASCAR Experience must be a minimum of 5'0" tall and no more than 6'8" tall. Participant must weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and no more than 280 lbs. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

The race cars are purpose-built, full-sized, Nextel Cup-style Stock Cars. As these are real NASCARs, you must be able to climb through the window to get into the car.

A track-side viewing area is available for friends and family members.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Homestead Miami Speedway NASCAR Ride Along Experience require forty-five (45) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

Long Wait Times

You are given an appt time but its first come first serve so do not show up at the appt time. In FL they opened at 5pm to register people and give out numbers. Go then, get your number and you'll be ahead of everyone else. I went earlier than my appt time and still waited 1.5 hours to go on my ride. The ride is really fun but only a 2.5 minutes. 3 laps goes fast at that speed. Quite a rush.

Was a great experience, the employees where very prof. and polite. My only complaint would be if you tell me my appoint is for 6pm and get there at 530pm, why would I be on the list for 7pm, and then you still wait in line. But other than that I would recomend this to someone.

The ride itself and the guys on the track were great. The driver was excellent too. But the wait was ridiculous and the idiots in the trailer made it worse by giving out the wrong info on where to wait. By the time we got into the right line instead of waiting on the wall like she told us the process was another 30-45 min longer. You should have had another car running also for that many people waiting. For those reasons I would say that once was enough.

I received a ride along for my 39th birthday and was very surprised. I had a good experience at the track and the people were very professional and made the whole experience fun. I was joking with them the whole time. The ride was a lot cooler than I expected and I was expecting it to be cool. We hit speeds of around 165MPH and you didn't really feel you were going that fast until you hit the turns and the g-forces kicked in and I felt like I was going to fly out the window. (Good thing I was strapped in). I am ready to jump back in and go again. It was Awesome!!! (Next time, I'm driving)

I really enjoyed the experience and now have much more respect for the Nascar drivers...that is a tough job to be in a car for 3 hours plus and go thru the centrifugal force they do going around the track. The high banked curves were the best...it felt like floating while going around. I will be back again!

Questions about Homestead Ride Along

Question: I purchased this gift for my husband, a longtime NASCAR fan. I would like to bring the whole family to watch him race. I have two young kids and would like to know if concessions will be available or if I need to bring snacks along for my children.

Answer: As this is a private event hosted by the driving school, the concession stands will not be open. You may bring outside food and beverages along with you.
Question: My siblings and have been thinking about purchasing this experience gift for my father for Christmas. Are there height and weight requirements?

Answer: Participation in the NASCAR Ride Experience is limited to individuals that have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground, can wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X, and are at least 100 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.
Question: My Son’s birthday is coming up and I thought this would be an exciting sweet sixteen birthday present! Are there age limits for the ride along?

Answer: Participants must be a minimum of 5 ft tall and 100 lbs. Parental consent is required for participants under 18 years old.
Question: I’m interested in gifting the ride along experience to my boyfriend for our anniversary. Will I be able to sit in the back seat during the ride along?

Answer: This experience is valid for one individual to ride in the Stock car during the ride along. These are real race cars that are driven by professional NASCAR drivers, and the cars do not have back seats.
Question: I would like to purchase this gift for my father, who does not have a very flexible schedule. What happens if it rains on the day of his race and the experience is cancelled?

Answer: Safety is of utmost importance on the track. If the NASCAR experience is cancelled due to weather by the operator or any other uncontrollable circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly through the race operator.
