The Talladega NASCAR Ride includes 3 Laps as a passenger with a total duration of approximately 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The Talladega Superspeedway Ride Along may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this once in a lifetime racing adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

For safety reasons participants in the NASCAR Experience must be a minimum of 5'0" tall and no more than 6'8" tall. Participant must weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and no more than 280 lbs. Participants under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a legal guardian.

The race cars are purpose-built, full-sized, Nextel Cup-style Stock Cars. As these are real NASCARs, you must be able to climb through the window to get into the car.

A track-side viewing area is available for friends and family members.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Talladega Superspeedway NASCAR Ride Along Experience require forty-five (45) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

What a ride and I must say I'm glad that the Driver instructors don't get to take the riders until after the drivers are done. The instructors get to show off their ability with the riders and as long as you stay 'Thumbs Up' they give their best and lets face it they love to drive. Thanks for the ride of my life. - Tom

What a great experience! I felt like I was on the Sprint Cup circuit, attempting to qualify for the upcoming race. Everyone at DJRA was extremely helpful and the weather cooperated to make it a fantastic day. And we turned a lap at over 182 mph.

My only complaint is that for a ride along you got after all of the people who are actually driving the car. Coming from Charlotte for the day, I arrived about 11:15 for the afternoon session. I was going to get in the car until at least 3:30. You could adjust the arrival times depending whether you actually drive or are driven.

All in all, it was a great experience. Thanks - DLT

Questions about Talladega NASCAR Ride

Question: I purchased this gift for my husband, a longtime NASCAR fan. I would like to bring the whole family to watch him race. I have two young kids and would like to know if concessions will be available or if I need to bring snacks along for my children.

Answer: As this is a private event hosted by the driving school, the concession stands will not be open. You may bring outside food and beverages along with you.
Question: My siblings and have been thinking about purchasing this experience gift for my father for Christmas. Are there height and weight requirements?

Answer: Participation in the NASCAR Ride Experience is limited to individuals that have the ability to climb through a 15" high by 30" wide window that sits 36" from the ground, can wear a driving suit: sizes S - 3X, and are at least 100 lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.
Question: My Son’s birthday is coming up and I thought this would be an exciting sweet sixteen birthday present! Are there age limits for the ride along?

Answer: Participants must be a minimum of 5 ft tall and 100 lbs. Parental consent is required for participants under 18 years old.
Question: I’m interested in gifting the ride along experience to my boyfriend for our anniversary. Will I be able to sit in the back seat during the ride along?

Answer: This experience is valid for one individual to ride in the Stock car during the ride along. These are real race cars that are driven by professional NASCAR drivers, and the cars do not have back seats.
Question: I would like to purchase this gift for my father, who does not have a very flexible schedule. What happens if it rains on the day of his race and the experience is cancelled?

Answer: Safety is of utmost importance on the track. If the NASCAR experience is cancelled due to weather by the operator or any other uncontrollable circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly through the race operator.
