This three-hour Stockcar Adventure is the perfect way to make dreams of being a race car driver come true! The fun begins when you meet your Instructors in the pit. Here you will discuss what makes these amazing machines so unique, learn how to drive the racing line and discuss all of the safety procedures you need to know before taking the green flag. Once your orientation is complete, you’ll get buckled in with a 5 point Simpson racing harness and wired in to electronic communications.

How Long Is The Auto Club Speedway NASCAR Experience

The Auto Club NASCAR Experience includes one 5 minute driving session, unless an upgrade option is chosen, with a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The California NASCAR Driving Experience may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds or heavy rain.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled shoes are recommended for this once in a lifetime racing adventure. Participants will be provided with all necessary equipment.

What To Know Before You Go

Participation in the NASCAR Experience is limited to individuals 18 years of age with a valid driver's license. For safety reasons participants must be a minimum of 5'0" tall and no more than 6'7" tall. Participants must weigh a minimum of 100 lbs and no more than 280 lbs.

The race cars are purpose-built, full-sized, Nextel Cup-style Stock Cars. As these are real NASCARs, you must be able to climb through the window to get into the car. It is suggested that participants know how to drive a manual transmission.

A track-side viewing area is available for friends and family members.

Liability insurance fee is included and releases you from all vehicle damage.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Auto Club Speedway NASCAR Experience require forty-five (45) days advance notice. Changes to reservations are subject to a $50.00 administrative fee.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

Amazing Driving Experience!

This was a really great experience. I went 152 mph!! I thought it was amazing. I think the driving time could have been a little longer though. 8 min. wasn't nearly enough time on the track. I loved that I got to be in compete control of the car though. And being able to talk to my spotter was really great. I felt like I was a real Nascar driver! Truly is an experience of a lifetime.

Had a great time. Driving at those speeds is definitely something to experience in your life time. What a thrill. The only problem is that the time goes by so fast. For the amount of money we paid it would have been nice for them to double the amount of time. Just when you get comfortable driving the car the time is up.

The experience was great, my instructor did a wonderful job during the ride. The ONLY thing I could suggest would be a pre-drive lap around the track before we get strapped in. Overall it was a great day!

This was beyond words. I only wished I had more laps to drive. The only bad thing was the video people were not able to video tape it, and I may not ever get to do this again. Pictures just aren't enough.

The man who spoke to us in the driver's meeting was funny. Keep him employed. More than that, I was so excited after getting out of the car I really did not tell my instructor what a great job he did with me. Please tell him, I was in the 00 car. Really thank the Instructor. He let me run and the last few laps back and forth with the 38 car where just a kick in the pants. Thanks......My son who watched will do this next year.

Questions about Auto Club NASCAR Drive

Question: I would like to purchase this gift for my father, who does not have a very flexible schedule. What happens if it rains on the day of his race and the experience is cancelled?

Answer: Safety is of utmost importance on the track. If the NASCAR experience is cancelled due to weather by the operator or any other uncontrollable circumstances, you will be able to reschedule directly through the race operator.
Question: How many other cars will there be on the racetrack? I did a racing experience once before and we followed a pace car the entire time and were not allowed to pass. Does this NASCAR experience allow us to pass?

Answer: An actual NASCAR race has 43 cars at the start, but for this experience there will be only 20 cars total on the track for each session. There is also no lead car and passing is encouraged. You will have a spotter talking to you through your headset and he will let you know when to move up.
Question: I am looking to give this as a retirement gift. What happens if the person I give the gift to gets into an accident?

Answer: Safety is top priority, therefore incidences are EXTREMELY rare. All drivers are covered with Vehicle Liability Insurance that is included in the price.
Question: My parents gave me this as a gift, but I have an expired license. Will that be a problem? Also, are the cars manual or automatic?

Answer: All participants MUST be 18 years old and possess a valid driver's license. These are real race cars driven by professional NASCAR drivers. They all have manual transmissions. If you don't know how to drive stick, this should be the proper motivation to learn!
Question: My husband and I would like to buy this for our Son as a Congratulations gift. What is included in each add on package?

Answer: If you click the green circle next to the drop down menu, you will see what is included with each package. They are as follows:
(1) 8 Minute Session – Add three additional minutes of Drive Time for a total eight minutes behind the wheel.
(2) 8 Minute Sessions- Upgrade to two eight minute sessions of Drive Time for a total sixteen minutes behind the wheel.
(3) 8 Minute Sessions- Upgrade to three eight minute sessions of Drive Time for a total twenty four minutes behind the wheel.
(4) 8 Minute Sessions- Upgrade to four eight minute sessions of Drive Time for a total of thirty two minutes behind the wheel.
