Your Ride Experience at Pocono Raceway consists of a passenger seat ride with one of our instructors in a two-seat stock car, at top-speed. You’ll be fitted for a racing suit and helmet. Once you and the Driver are ready, it’s time to climb in and strap up. Your Professional Driver will take you to new speeds for 3 amazing high-speed laps around the super speedway.

The Pocono Raceway Stockcar Ride Along is offered on specific dates May thru October, subject to availability. Start Times include 9:00 AM, 9:30 AM, 10:30 AM, 12:00 PM, 1:30 PM and 3:00 PM.

How Long Is The Pocono Raceway Stockcar Ride Along

The Stockcar Ride Along at Pocono Speedway includes 3 Laps as a Passenger and has a total duration of approximately 1 hour, unless an Additional Lap Option is selected.

Does Weather Impact NASCAR Driving Experiences

The Stockcar Ride Along at Pocono Raceway may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to heavy rain or other inclement weather. If a reservation is cancelled due to weather, you will receive a rain-check valid for one year from that date which can be used towards another reservation. The rain-check is non-refundable.

What to Wear for NASCAR Driving Experiences

Dress comfortably, a driving suit will be provided. Please bring a T-shirt that will fit under the driving suit and sneakers. Closed-toed shoes are required. Please refrain from using any hair sprays or gels.

What To Know Before You Go

Participation in the Stockcar Ride Along at Pocono Raceway is is limited to individuals 14 years of age and older with a valid drivers license. Participants must be between 5' and 6'4" tall weighing between 100lbs and 300lbs. A parent or guardian must accompany minors under the age of 18.

All participants must be able to enter and exit the car on their own through a window opening 15" high x 30" wide and 36" off the ground, and be in good health. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe in racing conditions are not eligible to participate.

Guests may watch your experience from the pit lanes. It is recommended to bring lawn chairs as there is limited seating available. Snacks and drinks are available for purchase, and you are welcome to bring your own. Tailgating in the parking area permitted.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form. Participants under 18 years of age required to have both parents sign a waiver/release form. If only one parent is coming to the racetrack, the other must sign the form and have their signature notarized.

Reservation And Cancelation Policy

All changes to reservations for the Pocono Raceway Stockcar Ride Along Experience require Thirty-Five (35) days advance notice and are subject to a $35.00 administrative fee.

No changes can be made to reservations within 35 days of the scheduled reservation.

Xperience Certificates® cannot be exchanged once a reservation for the experience has been made.

The experience was great and the personnel were very friendly and helpful, but I brought my Dad for a ride along as well and the experience would have been more fun if you could take two ride alongs out at the same time and do a pass so we could get a better feel for the NASCAR experience. Just a suggestion.

6 laps is a must, otherwise 3 goes by super fast at 160 mph. It's worth the upgrade. It's an awesome rush an all I wanted was to go faster. Great for adrenaline junkies. I reccomend the experience and I'll be back as a driver next time.

Questions about Pocono Raceway Ride

Question: If I purchase this experience for my fiance, would I be able to come to watch or will I not be allowed in?

Answer: Pocono Raceway Stockcar Ride Along experience does allow guests to watch the participants from the pit. There is limited seating so it is recommended to bring a lawn chair.
Question: I'm interested in sending my husband this experience as a birthday gift. Can I give him more than three laps?

Answer: Yes, you can choose to extend the experience to 6 total lap. You will need to select the option from the drop down menu before purchasing the certificate.
Question: I am looking for an exciting gift for my son's birthday. What is the minimum age to participate in the Stock Car Ride Along?

Answer: You must be 14 to participate. Both parents or guardians are required to sign a consent form and must be present at the track. If only one is is coming to the racetrack, the other must sign the form and have their signature notarized.
Question: Will I be able to purchase food and beverages at the track or am I allowed to bring my own?

Answer: Yes, you can bring your own and a concession stand will be open for your convenience.
Question: I am interested in purchasing this gift for my dad, but he's not the most flexible man in the world. What happens if it rains on the day of his reservation?

Answer: Check with the track. They will do everything possible to hold the race. If there is a break in the weather, and you are a no show, there will be no rescheduling and no refunds. If the weather makes it unsafe to race all day you will be issued a rain check that will be valid for 1 year.
Question: I understand you get fitted for a suit and helmet, do you keep these items or do you have to return them?

Answer: No, you do not get to keep the helmet and racing suit, these items must be returned upon completion of the stock car ride.
