The perfect experience gift for anyone who has dreamed of learning to fly, this 90 minute New Jersey Flying Lesson for Two is the best way to share in the fun of an Introductory Flight! During this adventure, you and your guest will both get the chance take the controls and Pilot a light aircraft.

The fun begins when you meet with your Certified Flight Instructor at the Morristown Municipal Airport, located just 30 minutes west of Manhattan. Here you will receive a brief over view of the Cessna 172 as well as the safety procedures for the flight. Once ready, you will hop in to the Pilot’s seat and help prepare for take-off as your guest enjoys the views from the back seat of the plane. After a 40 to 45 minute hands-on flight, you’ll help land the plane at a nearby airport. Your guest will then take-over the controls and discover for themselves the excitement of flying a plane!

The Introductory Flight Lessons Over Northern New Jersey are offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Flights may be scheduled between 8:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

How Long Is The Discovery Flight Lesson Over Morristown

The Northern New Jersey Flying Lessons include 15 to 20 minutes of ground instruction and has a total flight time of 90 minutes. Each participant will pilot the plane for approximately 40 to 45 minutes.

Does Weather Impact Flying Lessons

The New Jersey Flight Lessons may be rescheduled by the Instructor due to severe weather such as high winds, fog or heavy rain.

What to Wear for Flying Lessons

Dress comfortably, layers and flat rubber-soled athletic shoes are recommended for this aerial adventure. No heels or opened toed shoes.

What To Know Before You Go

Unless an Alternative Aircraft Option is selected, the Flight Lesson over Northern New Jersey will take place in a Cessna 172. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 225lbs, and the maximum combined weight of both passengers may not exceed 375lbs.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe conditions are not eligible to participate.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. If the participant is under the age of 18 a parent or guardian will need to sign the form prior to participation. Participants MUST have a Valid Passport or Birth Certificate and a Photo ID with current address.

Gratuity for the Instructor is not included and should be extended following the flight.
