Ready for the adventure of a lifetime? Feel the rush of skydiving with a tandem jump over beautiful Western Pennsylvania. Leap from a plane approximately 2 miles above the ground and freefall for 45 seconds!

After a briefing on training and safety, you will completely understand the equipment and the sequence of events. You and your jumpmaster will board the aircraft wearing a dual harness assembly. Once you reach your jump altitude you will exit the aircraft securely harnessed to your instructor for an unbelievable freefall at 120 MPH!

After your parachute opens you will have a scenic 4 to 6 minute ride. Because your instructor is with you all the way to landing, there is no need for you to worry about anything during your jump except to remember to relax and have fun. Your instructor will take care of everything which will allow you to completely enjoy yourself.

The Skydive Steel Valley Jumps are offered Wednesday thru Monday year-round, subject to availability. Weekend Jumps are typically scheduled between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, and Weekday Jumps are offered between 3:00 PM and 6:00 PM.

How Long Is The Skydive Steel Valley

The Tandem Skydives include 60 minutes of instruction, a 20 minute airplane ride, a 45 to 60 second freefall, a 4 to 6 minute parachute ride and a total duration of approximately 2-4 hours on weekdays and 4-6 hours on weekends (depending on weather).

Does Weather Impact Skydive Experience Gifts

The Steel Valley Tandem Skydives may be rescheduled due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to Wear for Skydive Experience Gifts

Dress comfortably, in layers. Flat rubber-soled shoes such as tennis shoes are recommended for this adventure. You will be provided with a jump-suit to wear during the experience. Jewelry, flip flops and opened toed shoes are not permitted.

What To Know Before You Go

Participants must be over the age of 18 years old with a valid government issued Photo ID. Participation is limited to individuals weighing less than 230lbs. Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

Bathroom facilities are available onsite and snacks and beverages are available to purchase. It is suggested to bring a picnic as you will have some time to relax and snack while waiting for your turn to jump. Many enjoy staying the day to watch others jump as well.

All jumpmasters and instructors have current USPA ratings and flight medicals on file. All staff members are professionals, chosen for their commitment to safety and customer satisfaction.

The consumption of alcohol or any illegal drug prior to skydiving is strictly prohibited. Please eat lightly and drink fluids on hot days. If you get air sick or car sick, Dramamine is suggested.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form prior to flight. Video and Photo Packages are available and may be purchased on the day of your jump.

Question: I am planning on giving this to my boyfriend for his birthday. What airport do they use for the Skydive Steel Valley?

Answer: The Skydive Steel Valley takes place at the Grove Valley Airport.
Question: I'd like to purchase a certificate for my friend but am not sure exactly how much he weighs. Are they very strict about the weight limit?

Answer: The weight limit is set for safety and they are very strict about it. If your friend is over the limit he may be turned away.
Question: I am looking for a unique birthday gift for my 16 year old. Can he jump if I sign a waiver?

Answer: The minimum age to skydive is 18 years old. This is a nationwide rule and there are no exceptions. Participants will be asked to provide a photo ID.
Question: This will be my first jump ever. Will I be allowed to bring my GoPro if it's attached to my chest?

Answer: Participants are not allowed to bring any camera equipment until you've completed at least 200 solo jumps. If you'd like video of the Experience you may purchase a video package on the day of your jump.

Answer: No, the certificate includes all taxes and fees.
