The Butchart Gardens Tours are offered seven days a week April thru October, subject to availability. Sails typically depart Seattle at 7:30 AM and return to Seattle at 9:45 PM.

How Long Is The Victoria Day Trip and Butchart Gardens

The Seattle to Victoria Day Day Trip and Butchart Gardens Tour includes a 2¾ hour cruise from Seattle to Victoria, a 2 hour Tour of Butchart Gardens, a 1½ hour City Tour of Victoria and a 2¾ cruise from Victoria to Seattle; and, has a total duration of approximately 14 hours.

Does Weather Impact City Tour Experiences

The Victoria Day Trips may be rescheduled by the Captain due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to Wear for City Tour Experiences

Dress comfortably in layers, flat rubber soled shoes and sunglasses are recommended for this full day sightseeing experience.

What To Know Before You Go

Price includes all applicable taxes, round trip cruise fees, round trip Motor Coach transportation to Butchart Gardens and Butterfly Gardens as well as admission to the Gardens.

Food and beverages are available for purchase on board the ship. Price does not include meals or other activities in Victoria.

The crew asks that you plan accordingly by bringing books, videos, games, toys etc. to occupy children, however, because of the time spent on the boat this tour is not recommended for children under the age of 6.

Identification is necessary for travel between the United States and Canada. All travelers must have a Passport. If you are not a United States or Canadian born citizen you will be required to have a passport and possibly a Visa.

Wonderful Tour

We had a wonderful time and the Butchart Gardens were absolutely stunning. However, these tours are very expensive (esp. for 2). We had a toddler screaming for a good 30 minutes of the city tour up to the gardens. It seems hugely inconsiderate of both parents and the tour company to have such young travelers when we pay so much for this tour. I understnd they paid for their family but I don't understand why tour companies do not have age limits. We enjoyed it but next time we would rather do it on our own.

Questions about Butchart Gardens Tours

Question: I am thinking of purchasing this experience for a wedding present. What could possibly prevent someone from getting into Canada?

Answer: Felonies could prevent you from entering Canada. This means anything that’s considered a felony in Canada, even if it’s not a felony in the US (such as a DUI/DWI). Even though these may not be considered felonies in the United States, a DUI/DWI could result in being denied entrance into Canada
Question: Are food and beverages available on the boats or at the terminals?

Answer: Can I bring food and beverages aboard? The Clipper Café, is conveniently located in the ticketing area at Pier 69, Seattle. Fresh roasted coffee as well as hot and cold breakfasts, soups, salads, sandwiches, etc. are available for eating in prior to departure or all items may be made to go if you would prefer to take with you to enjoy onboard. The Clipper Café is open daily, 6am – 3pm. On board the vessels, the Victoria Clipper Menu offers a variety of food and non-alcoholic and alcoholic beverages available for purchase. You may also bring other food onboard, but no outside alcohol is allowed. Onboard the Victoria Clipper, purchases may be made with Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover Card. We do not accept cash, checks or debit cards requiring a PIN.
Question: I was thinking of purchasing the whale watching cruise for my brother, who uses a wheelchair. Are these cruises handicapped accessible?

Answer: Yes, the ship complies with ADA standards.
Question: My wife and I were gifted this experience but we will need to drive into Seattle. Is there parking nearby an how early should we arrive to board the ship?

Answer: The Cruise company recommends you arrive at least an hour early for the tour. There is a parking garage right next to the terminal. Be sure to keep your ticket stub for a discount when you leave.
