Canyon Lake Steamboat Dinner Cruise

This is an amazing dinner cruise! My wife and I received this as a gift and not knowing much about it we tried it. We were completely impressed, it was a romantic and beautiful dinner cruise. Canyon lake was beautiful, the dinner boat slowly drive through the canyons as you have your dinner. The crew was wonderful and the dinner was great. We liked it so much were are going to go again and send some of our friends. If you live near Phoenix this is a must do!

This experience was much better than I expected! The food was good (except for the BBQ salmon), the commentator was knowledgeable and the boat was clean and seemed well-maintained.

Very nice cruise, my only criticism is that the last part of the cruise was in the dark. It would be so nice to do brunch cruise. Day light the whole cruise. We had a crew member named John who was just delightful. The scenery was beautiful the food fine.

We had a perfect evening aboard the 'Dolly' steamboat on Canyon Lake near Tortilla Flat, Arizona. The weather was perfect, the food was good, and the service was excellent! The highlight was spotting big horn sheep near the shoreline and several others from their perch on the cliffs above us. Thanks also to Experience Days for working with us on our reservation!

The crew was helpful, friendly and professional. The guest speaker, Dr. Sky was informative and knowledgeable. The evening was beautiful with the full moon lighting up the rock walls of the canyon. The dinner was a little disappointing. The salad was greens only, that could be that the crowd ahead got all the toppings, not sure. The prime rib was tasty but tough and hard to chew. The rest of the dinner and dessert was very good. If I did or when I do...take this cruise again, I will do the cruise only with no dinner and will do the cruise during the daylight hours.

My husband and I went on this cruise for a date night. When we arrived, it was raining however we were up for the adventure. The steamboat crew were amazing and so inviting. The captain told us so many cool facts about Canyon Lake that we never knew. We saw an eagle, Big Horn Sheep, Blue Herings, Bats and more! Then the food came...BBQ Salmon and Grilled Chicken, oh my, was it wonderful. And then, as if it could not get any better, the catering company brought out Carrot Cake with Cream Cheese Frosting! Ummmm! It is was cooler outside from the rain and it was overcast so you weren't blinded. My husband and I were able to stand on either the front deck or the back deck and just look around at the scenery and enjoy it. Will we go back again? Of course! We are already trying to get a group together to go back for another cruise! I think we just found out date night treat!!!

Great food, beautiful setting, NICE crew. Two minor issues: While our filet mignon was perfect, there was no 'choice' of ribeye or prime rib, as advertised. Also, I recommend trying to sit downstairs (romantic, warm and cozy) and not upstairs (better view? but sterile and drafty with no attempt at ambiance). Still, we WOULD recommend this cruise to anyone and may do it again ourselves.

The temperature was over 100 degrees. The dinner was good but the service from the waitress was virtually non-existent. We were greeted by the staff and directed to our seats. The waitress took our drink order and after that we had to fend for ourselves. There were no non-sugar drinks on the menu and we feel the prices for cocktails and other alcohol drinks were expensive. We have went on other cruises where all drinks were included in the cruise. Why don't you offer this? We received the cruise as a anniversary gift and I feel what my son and daughter paid for the cruise, it was not worth the price. Maybe if we would have went in the summer when it isn't so hot, we would have enjoyed it better.
