The Chocolate Tours of Boston take place Saturdays February to November, subject to availability. The Back Bay Tours typically begin at 11:30 AM and the South End Tours typically begin at 2:15 PM.

The Boston Chocolate Tasting Tours have a tour length of 2½ hours and a total duration of 2¾ hours.

Does Weather Impact Chocolate Experience Gifts

The Back Bay and South End Chocolate Tours take place in all weather conditions.

What to Wear for Chocolate Experience Gifts

Dress comfortably in layers. Flat rubber-soled walking shoes are recommended for this culinary adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

Tours include less than a mile of walking. Participants should bring a water bottle and spending money as you may have the opportunity to purchase additional food, beverages, gifts and chocolate souvenirs on the tour. Zip lock bags will be provided to each participant to take home unfinished samples.

Children must be accompanied by a parent at all times, however this tour is not recommended for children under 10.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Great tour guide!

Our tour guide Ahmet was very knowledgeable and kind. He was great with our toddler who we had to bring because our babysitter fell through* more about that later. We learned about where chocolate comes from and how it is harvested. We also learned how to identify, describe, and store chocolate. And of course we tasted lots of different kinds of chocolate.

This was a great experience. Eric was a wonderful host and the chocolates were fantastic. It was fun learning about how the different kinds of chocolate are made and why they go with certain wines. I would have liked to learned more about which wines complement which chocolates. It was really very casual which was great. I would definitely recommend this.

Questions about Boston Chocolate Tour

Question: I received this gift recently for my birthday but will need to drive into Boston for the tour. Is there parking nearby?

Answer: There are paid public parking garages located near the meeting locations of both tours. Street parking is NOT recommended for either tour, as tours exceed the maximum two hour limit at Boston city parking meters
Question: Will bathrooms be available along the way?

Answer: It is recommended to use the restrooms before the start of the tour. The tour follows a strict schedule and participants will have limited access to restrooms.
Question: I would like to take my wife on this tour, but I cannot eat as much chocolate as she can. Will I be able to save my tastings for later?

Answer: Each participant will receive a zip lock bag to bring home samples.
Question: I am surprising my Mother with this tour this weekend when she visits me, but there is rain in the forecast. Will the tour be cancelled?

Answer: The Chocolate Tours in Boston take place rain or shine, so please dress appropriately for the weather. If it calls for rain be sure to bring an umbrella!
Question: My husband and I received this tour as part of a wedding gift. Will we be able to bring our small, well behaved dog?
