The excitement of this adventure begins when you and your guest meet with your Gondolier at the Grand Caribe Shoreline Park. Here you will step into the traditional wooden Gondola, be seated and get ready for the voyage to begin. Once settled, the Gondolier will begin navigating the boat through the waters of the Coronado Cays. And, to make your experience as enjoyable as possible, blankets, an ice bucket and wine glasses are all provided. You may bring your own beverage of choice and finger foods to enjoy. Take in the magnificent picturesque surroundings while Italian-style music plays in the background. Don't forget your camera to capture the memories of this unique experience gift!

The San Diego Gondola Murano Cruise Experience is offered seven days a week year-round, subject to availability. Cruises are offered from 3:00 PM until 10:00 PM Monday thru Friday and from 12:00 PM until 11:00 PM Saturdays and Sundays. Reservations cannot be made for Sunset.

The San Diego Gondola Murano Cruise Experience has a cruise length of 50 minutes and a total duration of approximately 1 hour.

Does Weather Impact Gondola Cruise Experiences

The San Diego Gondola Murano Cruise Experience may be cancelled by the Gondolier due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to Wear for Gondola Cruise Experiences

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and warm layers are recommended for this gondola adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

Ice buckets, glasses and wine openers are provided for the cruise. You may bring your own beverage(s). There is a corkage fee. You may also bring food on board; finger foods are recommended as utensils are difficult to use on the gondola.

Your cruise includes two souvenir Champagne glasses.

My husband and I got engaged exactly to the date 6 years ago on a gondola in Venice, Italy! So we wants to take a romantic ride through one of our favorite cities. We were blown away by how comfortable and warm we were. We also had a canopy which gave us privacy and our gondolier sang to us which was so cool. Overall it was an amazing experience and I 100% will do it again. Also to do it while the sun was setting..... Magical!

The cruise itself was OK, though we were offered neither blankets nor glasses as stated on the description. Our gondolier didn't say anything to us after introducing himself, but maybe he wanted to let us have our own 'couple time.' I'd recommend Naples (Long Beach) or Newport Beach as much more scenic locations for this type of cruise.

This was our second gondola ride with the same company. The first was at sunset, with music. This was an afternoon cruise without the music, but with all the wonder that a cruise on the bay can bring. We learned a lot about life aboard sailboats, what is a water trampoline, and what is a 'moth' (type of water skimming craft). It was a glorious day and pleasant.

Questions about San Diego Gondola Cruise

Question: My girlfriend and I will be visiting from out of town and I want to surprise her from this experience. Where exactly does it take place?

Answer: San Diego Gondola Cruises depart from the Loews Crown Isle Marina, on Loews Coronado Bay Road in Coronado, California.
Question: I am interested in gifting this to my parents for their anniversary. Can I send them with wine and snacks?

Answer: You may! The gondola has an ice bucket and glasses on board and participants will receive a set of champagne glasses to keep as souvenirs. If you are bringing snacks, finger food is recommended as it may be difficult to use silverware on the gondola.
Question: What happens if my trip is cancelled for rain?

Answer: Sometimes it's raining in San Diego and not in Coronado. It is important to contact the company on the day of your Cruise to confirm it is cancelled. You will be rescheduled directly with them if it is.
