What to Wear for Food Tour Experiences

Dress comfortably, flat rubber-soled shoes and layers (depending on the season) are recommended for this open-air adventure. Flip-flops, high heels and dress-shoes are not recommended.

What To Know Before You Go

There are 5 to 6 stops on the tour. All tastings, enough food for a meal, and one cocktail pairing is included in the price. An alternate beverage for those younger than 21 may be provided with advance notice.

Tour stops may include: Bravas- Authentic Spanish tapas, Café Lucia- Portuguese Cuisine with a California twist, SHED- Celebrating farm to table food, Moustache Baked Goods- Classic Baked Goods, The Taste of Tea- A Japanese style teahouse, Selby Wines, Gustafson Family Wines and Williamson Wines. All stops on the tour are subject to change.

As this is a walking tour, plan to be on your feet for approximately 90 minutes during the tour. Participants will be sitting during the tastings. Participants are urged to bring spending money as you will have the opportunity to buy additional food, beverages and souvenirs after the tour.

Due to the nature of the experience no substitutions can be made. This tour is not recommended for children as this is a cultural walking tour that was developed for food, wine, and history lovers.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Great taste in Healdsburg

We very much enjoyed our afternoon food tour with Tammy. Each stop and tasting was different and wonderful. Tammy provided some Healdsburg history and information about local businesses. The wine and food were excellent and it was a lot of fun even on a cold rainy day.

Question: What locations will the tour visit?

Answer: Delicious tastings included on the Healdsburg tour may include stops at (subject to change):

Question: How much food is served on these tours? Should we make lunch plans after?

Answer: There are 5 to 6 tastings on each of the tours. For most people there is enough food that lunch or a meal afterwards is not necessary.
Question: Will we have time to stop and shop during the tour?

Answer: Out of respect for the other tour participants, they will ask you to wait until after the tour to do any shopping. If see a shop you like be sure to note the location. Of course you can also ask your guide after the tour if you forget. If you are visiting the area we recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your trip so you will have time to go back and shop if you'd like.
Question: Are there any beverages served on the tour? Should I bring my ID?

Answer: A few of the stops include beverages and there will be one alcohol pairing so you'll want to bring your ID if you wish to take part. It is also recommend bringing a bottle of water with you during the tour.
Question: I am looking for a gift for my Nephew who resides in Healdsburg. Is the tour interesting for locals?

Answer: Absolutely! The tour gets good feedback from locals. The guides will offer a unique insight about the history of the city and you may find a hidden gem you have never heard of. Even if you are well versed on the history of Healdsburg, you will still get to taste some amazing food. And everyone can enjoy that!

Answer: There will be restrooms available at select locations.
Question: Is there parking nearby the tour meeting point?

Answer: Yes, there is parking near the meeting spot.
Question: We were given the Healdsburg Food Tour as an anniversary present and my wife is a vegetarian. Will they be able to make vegetarian substitutions for her?

Answer: Vegetarians substitutions can be made if necessary. Please note they cannot always accommodate all dietary restrictions, like nut or shellfish allergies, but will do their best. If you have any dietary restrictions you may have to skip a few tastings. Your guide will let you know if you do.
Question: Will the Healdsburg Food Tour be cancelled for rain?

Answer: The tours are held rain or shine. Be sure to check the weather and if it calls for rain bring an umbrella.
