The Sea Caves Kayak and Snorkel Adventures are 2 hours and has a total duration of approximately 3 hours.

Does Weather Impact Kayaking Experiences

The La Jalla Kayaking and Snorkeling Adventures may be reshceduled by the Guide due to high winds, heavy rain, fog or other inclement weather.

What to Wear for Kayaking Experiences

Dress comfortably, flat, rubber-soled shoes, layers and swimsuits are recommended for this kayaking adventure.

What To Know Before You Go

The La Jolla Adventure For Two takes place in a tandem Kayak built for two participants. If additional participants are added the additional participants will be placed in single kayaks, unless tandem kayaks are requested.

All equipment is included and instruction is provided including a wetsuit, mask, snorkel and fins. After the trip, Snorkel Gear can be used for the remainder of the day.

San Diego kayaking and snorkeling tours are designed to accommodate beginners as well as experienced participants. Individuals must be 8 years of age or older and MUST be able to swim in order to participate. Individuals under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

Participants are required to sign a Liability Release Form.

La Jolla Kayaking & Snorkeling

We took part in this activity in September and enjoyed it very much. You can choose single or double kayak. The water was quite unclear so we didn't get a chance to see all the fishes described by the guide, but we've seen at least 3 kinds. And we've seen a baby sea lion! We had also the possibility to keep the snorkeling equipment for the whole day. All in all, adventure was very enjoyable and the guides very competent!

We received this Experience Day as a gift and finally signed up. Even though we snorkel/swim the La Jolla Cove area regularly on our own, we enjoyed the kayaking and learned a few things from our tour guide, who was really energetic and friendly. We had a group of 9 with some varied experience, so sometimes we had to wait for others, but in general, we still got to go at our own pace. We did jump in and swim through a cave, but there were so much kayak traffic, that it wasn't as enjoyable as some of our other swims. Also, we showed up about an hour early because the wrong time was printed on our itinerary, but we just hung out on the beach. I would call the actual shop to confirm the times. Overall, it was a fun experience.

They were very good and efficent. Factors beyond their control limited our experience. Water too cloudy to snorkel and waves too large to see the caves so we mostly just paddled around and listened to ecology lecture.
