Next, it’s in to the water where you will learn how to get on and off of your paddle board, various standing techniques, proper paddling, board maneuvering and more! You will then have a chance to practice what you have learned from your Instructor as you enjoy Paddling across the waters during the rest of this Intro to SUP!

The SUP Lessons are offered select weekdays and weekends June to September, subject to availability. Weekday lessons typically begin at 6:30 PM and Weekend lessons typically begin between 9:30 and 10:00 AM.

Dress comfortably in swimwear. Sunglasses and sunscreen as well as a change of clothing are all recommended.

What To Know Before You Go

Price includes lessons, SUP gear, life jacket. Participants should be able to swim and must wear life jackets at all times during the lesson.

Individuals who are pregnant, have broken bones or other physical conditions which are considered unsafe are not eligible to participate.

Gratuities are not included but are greatly appreciated and may be offered at the end of the event.

Question: I love to SUP and would like to get my girlfriend into it so we can go together. Would the Boston Paddleboard Lesson be appropriate for her if she's never been before? I think it would be a great Just Because gift.

Answer: This class is perfect for her. It is designed for never-ever paddlers. She'll start with dry land training and then move out to the water to practice the techniques she'll learn in the class.

Answer: You'll be provided with a board, paddle and PFD (life jacket). Wear your swim suit and we recommend bring sunglasses and sunscreen as well.
